About QX60

The QX60 started life as the JX35 in 2012, a three-row crossover built alongside the Nissan Pathfinder in Smyrna, Tennessee, and aimed at families who wanted more luxury than a minivan could offer. Renamed QX60 in Infiniti's 2014 naming overhaul, it quickly became the brand's best-selling model and the vehicle that kept many Infiniti dealers in business while sedans and coupes faded from the lineup and from buyers' shopping lists.

The second-generation QX60, launched for 2022, brought crisper styling, a much nicer cabin with quilted leather and wood trim, and a nine-speed automatic in place of the old continuously variable transmission. More recently a turbocharged four-cylinder replaced the V6. Reviewers have praised its plush ride, quiet cabin and comfortable second-row captain's chairs, while noting that the infotainment and some driver aids trail the latest from Lexus and Genesis, and that the third row is best left to kids.

It competes with the Acura MDX, Lexus TX, Genesis GV80, Volvo XC90, Lincoln Aviator and Cadillac XT6, and with loaded versions of mainstream three-row SUVs like the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade. The new QX65 is a closely related two-row fastback version, which has prompted plenty of comparisons between the siblings. This page follows QX60 reviews, pricing, recalls, sales and the comparisons that help shoppers choose between the two, and between the QX60 and its more affordable Pathfinder cousin.

QX60

Infiniti's three-row family SUV, the plusher Pathfinder sibling built in Tennessee, pitched as a calm and quietly lavish alternative to Lexus and Acura.
