About Jesko

The Jesko is Koenigsegg at its most uncompromising. Revealed at the 2019 Geneva motor show as the successor to the Agera, it is named after Jesko von Koenigsegg, the founder's father, who supported his son's improbable dream from the start. Its twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 produces about 1,600 horsepower on E85 fuel, and it drives through Koenigsegg's own Light Speed Transmission, a nine-speed, multi-clutch design that can jump directly to any gear almost instantly rather than stepping through them one by one.

There are two distinct Jeskos. The Attack is built for circuits, with a giant rear wing, an aggressive front splitter and enough downforce to pin it to the track. The Absolut strips away the drag, with smoother bodywork and covered rear wheels, and Koenigsegg has said it is the fastest car it will ever make, designed for top-speed runs beyond 300 mph in theory. The company has also built track-focused derivatives in tiny numbers, including the extreme Sadair's Spear.

Production is limited to 125 cars, all of which were spoken for quickly. The Jesko competes with the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, Hennessey's Venom F5 and Rimac's Nevera for bragging rights, though its owners tend to prize engineering originality and the ability to drive the car hard on a track as much as raw top-speed figures. It has also found a second life in video games and even LEGO, introducing its shape to a younger generation of fans.

This page tracks Jesko deliveries, record attempts, track tests, auction sales and technical stories, along with news from the broader hypercar world that often shares the same headlines. Watch for any official top-speed run by the Absolut, which would put Koenigsegg back at the center of the 300 mph debate, and for the next derivatives that build on the car's remarkable engine and gearbox. Until then, the Jesko remains the purest statement of what this small Swedish company can do.
