About iQube
The iQube is the electric scooter for people who do not want to think much about electric scooters. When TVS launched it in Bengaluru at the start of the 2020s, it looked like a conventional family scooter, rode like one and was sold through the company's existing dealers, which made it a reassuring choice for buyers nervous about startups. It had none of the flash of some rivals, and that turned out to be a strength.
TVS widened the range steadily, offering several battery sizes so buyers can trade range against price, adding connected features and touchscreens on upper trims and expanding sales from a handful of cities to the whole country. Owners like the comfort, the build quality and the dealer support; critics have noted that its range and performance trail some rivals' at similar prices and that the cheaper versions are fairly basic. Limited editions and festive campaigns keep the name in the news.
The iQube now sits near the top of India's electric two-wheeler market, trading places with Bajaj's Chetak, Ather and Ola Electric in the monthly sales tables, and it is a big reason for TVS's strong electric numbers. It also faces Hero's Vida and the electric Honda Activa, and the gasoline Jupiter in TVS's own showrooms remains a tempting alternative. Coverage follows sales figures, new variants, price changes, government subsidy decisions, supply issues and the broader battle to electrify India's scooters.
