About Xforce
The Xforce is Mitsubishi's compact SUV for the booming markets of Southeast Asia. Revealed at the Indonesian auto show in 2023 and built in Indonesia, it was designed to take on the crowded small-SUV segment in countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines, where buyers want rugged style, high ground clearance and plenty of features at an accessible price. It shares its underpinnings with the popular Xpander, Mitsubishi's best-selling people mover in the region.
Its design leans hard on the brand's bold Dynamic Shield face, and its cabin offers big screens, a premium sound system and clever storage. Critics have praised its comfortable ride, roomy interior and value, while noting that its naturally aspirated engine and continuously variable transmission favor efficiency over excitement. A hybrid version introduced in 2026 addresses that, with Mitsubishi claiming a very long range on a single tank of fuel.
The Xforce has been a hit in several markets, including Malaysia, where it quickly became one of the best-selling non-national compact SUVs after its launch, and the Philippines, where new entry versions widened its appeal. Its rivals include the Toyota Yaris Cross, Honda HR-V, Hyundai Creta and a wave of Chinese competitors. This page follows its launches, pricing, sales reports and special editions across the region, along with reviews and recall notices.
